New Booms Over Britain and British Columbia

What are the mysterious "New Booms Over Britain and British Columbia?" There seems to be no explanations but plenty of speculations, for the booming that keeps occurring over parts of Great Britain last week.

Meanwhile there have also been earth shaking noises that were heard in an area of British Columbia that had local baby boomers remembering a similar and very expensive sound in the 60s. In Kingsholm, Gloucester, on the evening of September 9th, a baffling boom was heard by many witnesses . Local media reported residents leaving their homes and taking to the streets as the boom shook houses and sounded to some as if it were in the area. The single loud noise had no aftershocks and was not accompanied by lights, smells, craters, smoke or other evidence to indicate its source. There appears to be no explanations so far. That’s not very comforting to the residents of Stockport, Rochdale and Middleton in Greater Manchester north of Gloucester. On September 16th, many people in those cities also reported a loud, pulsating noise that lasted for five minutes. Some said the noise sounded like it was moving across the sky, while others described it as a low frequency, pulsating bass tone. Nearby Beetham Tower, the 47 story Manchester skyscraper, is said to create an intermittent hum in windy weather but conditions weren’t right and the sound didn’t match. One witness proposed a link to the earthquake in Chile, which happened at about the same time. Very mysterious indeed.

A UFO, otherwise known as an unidentified flying object, is any apparent anomaly in the sky that is not identifiable as a known object or phenomenon. Culturally, UFOs are associated with claims of visitation by extraterrestrial life or government related conspiracy theories, and have become popular subjects in fiction. While UFOs are often later identified, sometimes identification may not be possible owing to the usually low quality of evidence usually photos or low grade video, related to UFO sightings (generally anecdotal evidence and eyewitness accounts). Studies have established that most of the UFO observations are just misidentified conventional objects or natural phenomena, most commonly aircraft, balloons, noctilucent clouds, nacreous clouds, or astronomical objects such as meteors or bright planets with a small percentage even being hoaxes Between 5% and 20% of reported sightings are not explained, and therefore can be classified as unidentified. While proponents of the extraterrestrial hypothesis suggest that these unexplained reports are of alien spacecraft, the hypothesis cannot be excluded that these reports are simply other more prosaic phenomena that cannot be identified due to lack of complete information or due to the necessary subjectivity of the reports.
